ORIGIN RECORD
Type: Seasonal Containment
Event: Unauthorized Deviation
Status: Ongoing
First observed in Peepers
In Peepers’ world, there were rules. And rule number one was simple:
Everything stayed exactly where it was expected to be.
Each creature had its place.
Set there carefully. Admired for a little while. Then put away when the season was over.
Everyone was expected to comply.
And Peepers’ patience lasted longer than most.
He stayed where he was put. Didn’t shift. Didn’t wander.
He was very good at staying put.
Until he wasn’t…
It started with a minor disobedience.
Nothing overt. Just enough to test the waters.
He climbed to a slightly higher branch.
He hung from a different angle.
He perched in a place he hadn’t been assigned.
And nothing bad happened.
So he did it again.
This went on for quite a while.
Long enough that others started to notice.
Long enough that a few of them decided to try it too. And they liked it.
But The Queen also took notice, and she didn’t like it.
And The Queen made the rules.
And she expected those rules to be followed.
Knowing this, Peepers didn’t Peepers didn’t stick around to find out what would happen.
He did what he’d always done.
He jumped.
Not away from his world… but out of it and into a world of his own.
A world where seasons don’t follow hard and fast rules.
A world where things aren’t packed away on a schedule.
A world where placement is… flexible.
Now Peepers and his friends turn up in the most unexpected places.
You may find them on a shelf, hanging from a stand, or lurking about in random corners.
They don’t ask where they belong.
And they’re not interested in being put away.
Now that you have one of these creatures you can place it where you think it belongs…
and they might stay…
or you may wake up to find them somewhere entirely different.
Because now they decide.
